[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안산 이현준기자] 안산시는 소규모 오수처리시설(일 50톤 미만)에 대한 특별 점검을 실시한다.
‘소규모 오수처리시설’은 개인 하수처리시설의 한 종류로 하수처리구역 밖의 지역에서 개별 건물 등에서 발생하는 오수와 분뇨를 처리하는 일종의 개인소유 하수종말처리장이다.
방류수수질기준은 생물학적 산소요구량(BOD) 20㎎/ℓ 이하와 부유물질(SS) 20㎎/ℓ 이하로 기준이 정해져 있다. 초과 정도에 따라 최대 150만 원의 과태료부과와 개선명령과 같은 행정처분이 진행될 수 있어 주의가 필요하다.
시는 이번 특별점검에서 등록된 4천여 개의 소규모 오수처리시설 중 점검 대상을 무작위로 추출해 ▲오수처리시설 정상 가동 여부 ▲방류수 수질기준 준수 여부 등을 점검할 계획이다. 또한 점검 대상 오수처리시설의 방류수는 시료를 채취해 경기도보건환경연구원에분석을 의뢰할 예정이다.
백현숙 상하수도사업소장은 “상반기 점검 과정에서 40개 사업장 중 10개소의 위반 사업장이 나와 과태료 등 불이익 처분을 받았다”라며 “추가적인 불이익 처분을 받지 않도록 각별한 관심과 주의를 당부드린다”라고 말했다.
