[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 평택시 신장2동은 ‘2024 경기 더드림 재생 경진대회’에서 최우수상을 수상했다.
지난 7일 경기도 도시재생지원센터가 주최한 경진대회에서 대학생 아이디어 부문과 주민 참여사업 부문으로 진행된 경진대회 본선에서 평택시 신장2동 주민들은 ‘꽃으로 물들다, 살맛나는 신장마을’이라는 주제로 발표했다.
신장2동 주민들이 유휴 국공유지를 찾아 정원으로 조성하고, 직접 지속적으로 관리하는 아이디어와 도시재생 사업을 통해 집수리 교육을 받은 주민들이 직접 집수리를 실행해 마을을 더 살기 좋은 곳으로 만들겠다는 아이디어를 공모하여 당선됐다.
