윤석열 대통령 내외가 11일(현지시간) 지난 5박 6일 간의 동남아시아 3국 순방 일정을 모두 마치고 귀국길에 올랐다.
윤 대통령과 부인 김건희 여사는 이날 오후 라오스 비엔티안 왓타이 국제공항에서 대통령 전용기 공군 1호기 편으로 한국으로 향했다.
공항엔 라오스 측 린캄 두앙사반 농림부 장관·까이마니 오라분 외교부 감사국장·웃따마 시티퐁 외교부 의전국 부국장과 정영수 주라오스 대사 내외 등이 나와 윤 대통령 내외를 환송했다.
윤 대통령은 남색 정장·초록색 넥타이, 김 여사는 검은 재킷에 회색 스커트 차림으로 공군 1호기에 오른 가운데 윤 대통령은 웃으며 손을 흔들었고, 김 여사는 여러 차례 고개숙여 인사했다.

또 싱가포르를 국빈 방문해 로런스 웡 총리와 정상회담을 갖고 한·싱가포르 수교 50주년 계기 내년 '전략적 동반자 관계' 수립 및 상호 전략적 공조 강화에 합의했고, 범죄인 인도조약 체결 및 LNG 분야 협력 등 5개 MOU를 체결했다.
이어 아세안(ASEAN·동남아시아국가연합) 정상회의 참석차 라오스 비엔티안을 방문해 한·아세안 간 협력 도약을 위한 '포괄적 전략동반자 관계를 수립 후 올해 개최·의장국 라오스 통룬 시술릿 국가주석과의 정상회담에서 내년 재수교 30주년 계기 한·라오스 '포괄적 동반자 관계' 수립에 합의했다.
윤 대통령은 통룬 주석과의 정상회담 계기로 한·라오스 간 기후변화협력 기본약정·한·라오스 EDCF(대외경제협력기금)-대외경제협력기금(EDCF) 기본약정 갱신·국외산림탄소배출감축사업 협력 MOU(업무협약)‧등을 체결했다.
더불어 아세아 정상회의 계기 이시바 시게루 신임 일본 총리와 첫 정상회담을 갖고 기존 한·일 셔틀외교 지속 및 공조·관계 게승 발전, 북한 미사일 위협에 대해 미사일 경보 정보 실시간 공유 체계의 계속적 면밀한 가동, 8·15 통일 독트린 지지 등을 이끌어 냈다.
