[브레이크뉴스경기남부=성남 이현준기자] 성남시가 교통약자의 어린이·노인·장애인 보호구역 실태조사를 실시한다.
시는 올해 1월 도로교통법 개정 시행으로 연 1회 보호구역에 대한 실태조사가 의무화됨에 따라 최근 어린이·노인·장애인 보호구역의 체계적인 관리를 위한 실태조사 용역에 착수했다.
내년 2월까지 3억3800만원을 투입해 ▲보호구역 교통약자 사고 및 시설 현황조사 ▲보행자 및 통행로 체계조사 ▲보호구역 신규 지정 필요 시설 발굴 ▲시설 훼손, 미비 사항 및 규정 준수 여부 검토 ▲문제진단 및 개선안 검토 ▲현황도면 및 보고서 작성 등을 용역에서 수행하게 된다.
시는 보호구역 실태조사 용역 결과를 토대로 보호구역 확대·축소 및 신규 지정 등 보완이 필요한 부분들을 점검하고, 보호구역 164개소에 대한 정비계획을 수립한 뒤 그에 따른 세부 사업들을 추진해 나갈 계획이다.
성남시 관계자는 “어린이·노인·장애인 보호구역 실태조사 용역을 통해 보호구역 관리를 내실화하고 교통약자의 교통안전 체계 수립을 강화할 것”이라고 말했다.
