【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대 WISE(와이즈)캠퍼스(총장 류완하)는 지난 11일 교내 중앙도서관에서 ‘2024 APEC 페루 - 2025 APEC 경주’ 성공 개최를 기원하는 사진전을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
호텔관광외식경영학부 권주경 교수가 사회를 맡은 이날 행사는 류완하 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 총장의 인사말, 주낙영 경주시장, 파울 두클로스 주한페루대사, 이동협 경주시의회의장의 축사, 테이프 컷팅과 사진 관람 등의 순서로 진행됐다.
이번 사진전은 2024 페루 APEC과 2025 경주 APEC 성공 개최를 기원하고 글로컬대학 30 사업 추진을 위한 동국대 WISE캠퍼스와 경주시와의 협력 추진 및 지역사회 문화 서비스를 위해 개최되었으며 페루, 경주시 그리고 동국대 WISE캠퍼스의 50여점의 사진이 11월 30일까지 전시된다.
또한 사진전은 11월 20일 경주시의 우호도시인 페루 아레키파시 산아구스틴국립대학에서도 개최될 예정이다.
류완하 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 총장은 환영사를 통해 동국대 “2024 APEC 페루 개최 및 2025 APEC 경주 성공 개최를 진심으로 기원하는 마음으로 이번 전시회를 준비했다며, ”동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 2025 APEC 개최 도시의 거점 대학으로서 대학의 역할을 통해 경주 APEC이 성공적으로 개최될 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다할 것이다.“고 말했다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “페루에서 경주로의 여정 이라는 주제로 개최되는 이번 사진전을 통해 찬란한 잉카문화를 가진 페루에서 시작된 여정이 경주로 이어지는 의미있는 자리가 될 것이라며, 사진전 개최를 통해 2025 APEC 정상회의가 성공적으로 개최될 수 있도록 많은 관심과 응원을 부탁한다고.“ 말했다.
파울 두클라스 주한페루대사는 “동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스 중앙도서관에서 위대한 잉카의 길에 대한 사진전이 개최되어 매우 기쁘고, 특히 사진 전시회가 너무나 멋지게 되어 있어서 놀라웠다. 많은 경주시민들과 대학민국 국민들께서 이번 전시를 즐기며 잉카로드를 통해 페루와 더 친근해 지기를 기대한다.”고 말했다.

Dongguk University WISE Campus Holds Photo Exhibition to Wish for the Success of ‘2024 APEC Peru - 2025 APEC Gyeongju’
Dongguk University WISE Campus (President Ryu Wan-ha) announced on the 11th that it held a photo exhibition to wish for the success of ‘2024 APEC Peru - 2025 APEC Gyeongju’ at the central library on campus.
The event, hosted by Professor Kwon Joo-kyung of the Department of Hotel, Tourism and Restaurant Management, consisted of opening remarks by Dongguk University WISE Campus President Ryu Wan-ha, congratulatory remarks by Gyeongju Mayor Joo Nak-young, Peruvian Ambassador to Korea Paul Duclos, and Gyeongju City Council Speaker Lee Dong-hyeop, followed by a ribbon-cutting and photo viewing.
This photo exhibition was held to wish for the successful hosting of the 2024 Peru APEC and the 2025 Gyeongju APEC, to promote cooperation between Dongguk University WISE Campus and Gyeongju City for the promotion of the Global University 30 Project, and to provide cultural services to the local community. Approximately 50 photos from Peru, Gyeongju City, and Dongguk University WISE Campus will be on display until November 30.
The photo exhibition will also be held at the National University of San Agustin in Arequipa, Peru, a sister city of Gyeongju City, on November 20.
In his welcoming speech, Ryu Wan-ha, President of Dongguk University WISE Campus, said, “We prepared this exhibition with the sincere wish for the successful hosting of the 2024 APEC Peru and the 2025 APEC Gyeongju. Dongguk University WISE Campus will do its best to ensure the successful hosting of the Gyeongju APEC through its role as a hub university for the 2025 APEC host city.”
Mayor Joo Nak-young of Gyeongju said, “This photo exhibition, held under the theme of ‘Journey from Peru to Gyeongju,’ will be a meaningful place where the journey that started in Peru, with its splendid Inca culture, continues to Gyeongju. I ask for your interest and support so that the 2025 APEC Summit can be held successfully through the photo exhibition.” Ambassador Paul Duclas of Peru to Korea said, “I am very pleased that a photo exhibition on the Great Inca Road is being held at the Central Library of Dongguk University’s WISE Campus. I was especially amazed by how wonderful the photo exhibition was. I hope that many Gyeongju citizens and Korean citizens will enjoy this exhibition and become more familiar with Peru through the Inca Road.”
