신용보증기금이 공공기술 확산을 위해 한국전자통신연구원과 손을 잡았다.
신용보증기금(이사장 최원목)이 지난 1일 한국전자통신연구원(원장 방승찬, 이하 ‘ETRI’)과 ‘공공기술의 확산을 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
신용보증기금에 따르면 이번 협약은 국가산업의 미래를 주도할 혁신 공공기술의 민간 확산과 기술혁신 생태계 조성을 위해 마련됐다.
이번 협약에 따라 신용보증기금은 ETRI의 기술을 이전받거나 사업화연계 기술개발(R&BD)을 하는 기업에 보증을 지원한다. 또한, 복합수요 맞춤형 종합 솔루션인 ‘이노베이션1’을 통해 신보뿐만 아니라 다른 기관의 기업지원 사업까지 연계해 원스톱으로 제공할 계획이다.
ETRI는 기술이전 또는 출자를 받거나 스핀오프한 혁신기술 기업을 신보에 추천하고, 신용보증기금의 금융･비금융 지원 기업을 대상으로 성장 프로그램을 제공할 예정이다.
이외에도 두 기관은 기업들이 기술을 혁신하고 성장의 속도를 높일 수 있도록 ETRI 개발 공공기술 사업화 생태계 조성을 위한 협력사업을 추진하기로 했다.
채병호 신용보증기금 이사는 “ETRI가 보유한 세계적인 기술이 신보의 기술성장 지원 프로그램을 통해 민간에 널리 확산되기를 기대한다”며, “기술패권 경쟁 시대를 맞아 우리 기업이 기술 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있도록 정책금융 기관으로서 필요한 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.

The Korea Credit Guarantee Fund has joined hands with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute to promote public technology.
The Credit Guarantee Fund (Chairman Choi Won-mok) announced on November 4 that it signed a business agreement with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) on November 1 to promote the diffusion of public technologies.
According to the Credit Guarantee Fund, the agreement is designed to promote the private diffusion of innovative public technologies that will drive the future of national industries and create a technological innovation ecosystem.
Under the agreement, the Credit Guarantee Fund will provide guarantees to companies that transfer ETRI's technologies or conduct commercialization-linked R&D (R&D). It will also provide a one-stop service through 'Innovation 1', a comprehensive solution tailored to complex needs, linking not only the guarantee but also corporate support projects from other organizations.
ETRI will recommend innovative technology companies that have received technology transfer, investment, or spin-offs to Shinbo, and provide growth programs for financial and non-financial support from the Credit Guarantee Fund.
In addition, the two organizations will work together to create an ecosystem for commercialization of ETRI-developed public technologies to help companies innovate and accelerate their growth.
“We expect ETRI's world-class technologies to be widely spread to the private sector through Shinbo's technology growth support programs,” said Byung Ho Chae, Director of the Credit Guarantee Fund. ”As a policy financial institution, we will spare no effort to help Korean companies become technologically competitive in the era of technological hegemony.”
