거창군, 지속가능한 에너지 전환·자립 도시 목표

[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 2일 이병철 부군수 주재로 관련 부서장 및 용역사 등 15명이 참석한 가운데 ‘거창군 에너지 자립도시 조성 계획 수립 용역’ 최종보고회를 개최했다.

이번 용역은 거창군 에너지 기본현황을 파악하고 지역 특성을 반영한 에너지 자립 목표를 설정해 에너지의 효율적 이용과 기후변화 대응체계를 구축하고 에너지 자립도시로 나아가기 위한 정책을 마련하기 위해 추진됐다.

이날 보고회에서는 지난 9월 23일 중간보고회에서 제기된 의견 반영 사항을 점검하고 최종 계획을 발표했으며 세부 사업에 대한 질의응답 시간을 가졌다.

최종 수립된 계획에서는 ‘지속가능한 에너지 전환·자립 도시 거창’을 목표로 설정하고 △안정적 에너지 공급 대책 △친환경 에너지 사용 대책 △에너지 이용 합리화 및 효율화 대책 △에너지 복지 및 군민참여 △정책기반의 5개 분야 35개 세부사업을 발굴했다.

이병철 부군수는 “이번 용역을 통해 수립한 계획을 기반으로 군민들이 신재생에너지에 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 하고 에너지 사용 환경을 개선해 거창군을 군민의 삶의 질을 높이는 에너지 자립도시로 만들 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
