[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 3일 구인모 거창군수, 신성범 국회의원, 이재운 거창군의회 의장, 군의원들을 비롯한 지역 내 기관단체장과 주민 등 300여 명이 참석한 가운데 상동 아름드리 숲골 어울림센터에서 준공식을 개최했다.

쇠퇴한 상동마을 원도심을 다시 살리기 위한 방안으로 건립된 상동 아름드리숲골 어울림센터는 2020년 12월 국토교통부 도시재생 인정사업 공모에 선정된 뒤, 2021년 12월 건축설계 공모를 완료했다.

이후 2022년 2월부터 본격적인 사업추진을 위한 실시설계와 부지 내 건축물 철거를 거쳐, 2022년 12월 착공해 지난 9월 공사를 완료했다.

상동 아름드리숲골 어울림센터는 지상 4층, 연 면적 1,127㎡ 규모로 조성됐으며 1층 카페, 2층 돌봄센터, 3층 스포츠센터, 4층 경로당 등 주민들을 위한 문화, 교육, 복지공간으로 구성되어 있다.

누구나 이용할 수 있는 열린 공간으로 운영되며, 주민들의 삶의 질을 높이는 거점시설로서 역할을 하게 될 전망이다.

준공식은 상동 어울림센터와 주민들의 발전과 복을 기원하는 풍물한마당 식전공연을 시작으로 상동마을 주민들이 직접 기획하고 준비한 도시재생 이음 골목축제 체험부스와 함께 숲골카페 커피 시음회가 열려 행사의 풍성함을 더했다.
