충남개발공사, 보령시 취약계층 대상 '사랑의 연탄' 기부

충남개발공사는 보령지역에서 에너지 취약계층 도민들이 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있도록 5,500장의 연탄을 지원하는 배달 봉사활동에 나섰다고 6일 밝혔다.

공사 임직원과 대한적십자사 회원 등 30여명이 참여한 이번 봉사활동은 직접 연탄 배달을 실시한 보령시 주사면·웅천면 소재 가구를 포함한 보령지역 내 총 11가구를 대상으로 연탄 500장씩 합계 5,500장을 전달하는 형식으로 이뤄졌다.

공사 박영환 관리이사는 “이른 폭설과 한파로 취약계층의 겨울나기가 더욱 어려운 상황이라고 생각된다”며 “이번 연탄 지원이 따뜻한 겨울나기에 도움이 되길 바란다“며 응원의 메시지를 보냈다.

충남개발공사는 올해 서천시장 화재피해와 청양·부여·금산 호우피해 복구성금으로 2억 원을 기부하는 등 경영수익의 일부를 지역사회에 환원하기 위한 나눔경영을 매년 실천하고 있다.
