세종시가 시민의 목소리를 시정에 반영하기 위해 오는 18일부터 31일까지 ‘제4기 시민주권회의’ 시민 위원을 공개 모집한다고 16일 밝혔다.
시민주권회의는 시민이 시정에 참여하여 문제를 발굴하고 의견을 제시할 수 있도록 구성된 심의·자문 기구로, 시민들의 실질적인 시정 참여 기회를 확대하기 위해 2019년부터 운영되고 있다.
세종시에 따르면 이번 모집 인원은 총 80명이며, 공고일인 16일 기준으로 세종시에 주소를 둔 16세 이상의 시민이면 누구나 신청할 수 있다.
단, 세종시 산하 각종 위원회에 3개 이상 소속된 사람, 2·3기 시민주권회의 위원으로 연속해서 활동한 사람, 제3기 시민주권회의 위원 중 참석률이 저조(50% 이하)한 사람은 신청이 불가하다.
신청은 세종시청 누리집 또는 각 읍면동 행정복지센터를 방문하여 할 수 있으며, 시는 성별, 지역별, 연령별 균형과 희망 분과를 고려해 위원을 추첨 선정할 예정이다.
최종 선발 결과는 내년 1월 10일 개인별로 통지된다.
세종시는 이번 시민주권회의를 통해 시민들의 다양한 의견을 수렴하고, 보다 나은 시정 운영을 위해 노력한다는 계획이다.
