보령시, 도심 활력 위해 신년맞이 '야간경관조명' 운영

충남 보령시는 지역 상권 활성화 도모를 위해 2025년 2월 말까지 시가지 가로수 및 녹지대 야간경관조명을 설치·운영한다고 16일 밝혔다.

이번 야간경관 조명 운영은 한 해를 돌아보고 희망찬 새해를 맞이하기 위한 분위기 조성을 비롯해 시민들에게 희망과 즐거움을 선사하는 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.

시는 한내로터리에서 동대사거리 녹지대까지 4개 구간(총 2.5km)의 가로수에 LED 은하수 조명을 설치하고, 동대사거리 등 주요 4개소에 입체 하트 오브제, 곡선 게이트, 돔 등 조형물을 배치했다.

김동일 시장은 “연말연시를 맞아 도심에 활력을 불어넣고, 시민들이 가족, 연인, 친구와 함께 소중한 추억을 쌓을 수 있도록 경관을 조성했다”며 “시가지 장식 조명을 통해 지역 상권도 활기를 찾고, 시민들이 한 해를 잘 마무리하며 희망찬 2025년을 맞이하길 바란다”고 말했다.
