충남 계룡시(시장 이응우)가 ‘금연 환경조성 및 간접 흡연 피해방지를 위한 조례’와 ‘출산장려금 지원 등에 관한 조례’ 일부를 개정했다고 17일 밝혔다.
이번 개정 조치는 간접흡연으로부터 시민의 건강을 지키고, 지자체의 재정적 보조를 통해 출산을 장려하기 위한 것으로 '금연구역 흡연과태료와 출산장려금 상향 등의 내용을 골자로 하고 있다.
조례에 따른 금연구역은 ▲학교 절대 보호구역 ▲버스정류소 및 택시승강장 ▲액화석유 가스충전소 및 주유소 ▲어린이 놀이터 및 도시공원 등 이며, 해당 장소에서 흡연시 과태료는 기존 1만 원에서 5만 원으로 상향 조정된다.
음식점, 관공서, 체육시설 등의 법정 금연구역은 기존과 동일하게 10만 원의 과태료가 부과된다.
출산장려금은 내년 1월 1일부터 지원 금액이 대폭 확대돼 ▲첫째는 50만 원에서 100만 원 ▲둘째는 100만 원에서 300만 원 ▲셋째 300만 원에서 500만 원 ▲넷째는 2회에 걸쳐 1000만 원이 지급된다.
개정된 출산장려금은 2025년 1월 1일 이후 출생한 자녀를 둔 가정부터 적용되며, 출생신고일 기준 6개월 전부터 지급일까지 부 또는 모가 계룡시에 주민등록을 두고 거주해야 한다.
