[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 지난 16일 한국승강기안전공단의 승강기인재개발원이 서울 강동구에서 거창으로 이전했다고 밝혔다.
승강기인재개발원은 기존에 서울 강동구 소재 교육장에서 승강기 산업 종사자를 대상으로 법정 직무, 기술교육을 15일까지 시행해 왔다.
거창군과 한국승강기안전공단은 2020년 10월 체결된 ‘세계 승강기 허브도시 조성사업 업무협력 협정’을 통해 인재개발원의 거창 이전을 결정했다.
이후, 지난 5월 거창군 승강기산업복합관이 완공됨에 따라 서울 교육장은 폐쇄되고 승강기인재개발원은 새로운 거창군 승강기산업복합관으로 이전을 마쳤다.
거창군 승강기산업복합관의 2025년 교육생은 기존에 시행하던 승강기 법정 직무·기술교육과 소방청 위탁교육 등 2,000여명에 더해 인재개발원 교육생 500여명이 추가됨으로 연간 2,500여명이 교육을 받게 됐다.
특히 승강기인재개발원은 현장실습교육분야를 점차 확대할 계획이며 이에 따라 거창군 승강기산업복합관의 교육생 수는 매년 증가할 전망이다.
구인모 군수는 “승강기 산업복합관 개관에 이어 한국승강기안전공단 승강기인재개발원 본원 이전으로 승강기 교육 플랫폼이 완성됐다”며 “앞으로도 산업복합관 운영 활성화를 위한 신규교육 발굴 등 승강기 산업의 발전과 생활인구 증가를 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 거창군은 2025년 신규사업으로 승강기 산업복합관 교육 훈련생을 대상으로 KTX 김천구미역과 산업복합관간의 교통편의를 제공하고 거창의 문화·힐링프로그램을 지원해 거창을 다시 방문할 수 있도록 교육생 편의 사업을 진행할 예정이다.
