충청남도교육청(교육감 김지철)은 2025학년도 충남형 늘봄학교의 성공적 시행을 목표로 17일부터 18일까지 이틀간 늘봄학교와 방과후학교 담당자 59명을 대상으로 배움자리를 운영했다고 밝혔다.
이번 배움자리는 지역별 진행 현황을 점검하고 내년도 사업 계획 수립을 위한 협의를 위해 마련되었으며, 2024년 충남형 늘봄학교의 업무 성과 평가와 내년도 세부 계획 수립을 위해 관련 추진 내용 및 결과에 대한 공유도 함께 이뤄졌다.
특히, 공간 부족 문제 해결을 위해 학교 밖 늘봄학교 확대 방안을 논의하며, 지역사회와의 협력 모델을 모색하는 데 중점을 두었다.
충남형 늘봄학교는 국가교육 책임제 강화를 통한 교육격차 해소를 목적으로 2025학년도부터 초등학교 1~2학년 대상으로 확대되며, 2026학년도부터는 초등학교 전 학년으로 확대 실시될 예정이다. 이를 통해 학생들에게 안정적인 학습 환경과 다양한 교육 경험을 제공한다는 방침이다.
참석자들은 서울특별시교육청 "서울 용산어린이정원"을 방문해 우수 사례를 탐방했으며, 공공기관-지자체-교육청 간 연계 협력 모델을 충남 지역에 효과적으로 적용할 방안을 모색했다.
용산어린이정원은 국토교통부, 서울특별시교육청, 한국토지주택공사(LH)가 협력해 설립한 공간으로, 신체활동과 생태 체험교육 등 다양한 프로그램을 운영하고 있는 1호 늘봄 거점센터다.
정은영 초등특수교육과장은 "이번 배움자리는 향후 충남형 늘봄학교가 가진 공간 부족 문제를 해결하고, 지역사회와 연계한 학교 밖 공간 활용 방안을 모색하는 귀중한 기회가 되었다"며, "학생들이 다양한 문화와 생태 체험을 할 수 있도록 지역사회와 협력해 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
