대전동부교육지원청은 20일, 월드비전 대전세종충남사업본부(이하 월드비전)와 지역 아동·청소년의 건강하고 행복한 성장을 지원하기 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 취약계층 아동의 성장 지원과 지역사회의 협력 체계 강화를 목표로 마련되었다.
협약에 따라 대전동부교육지원청은 월드비전과 함께 ▲위기 아동 지원(취약 아동 발굴 및 긴급 지원), ▲식생활 취약 아동 지원(결식 예방 및 정서적 안정 지원), ▲가족 돌봄 청소년 지원(가족 돌봄 사각지대 발굴 및 지원) 등 다양한 복지 사업을 추진할 예정이다.
이번 협약은 단순히 복지사업 지원에 그치지 않고, 아동·청소년 복지 사각지대를 해소하며 지역사회의 협력 문화를 조성하는 데 초점이 맞춰져 있다. 더불어, 아동복지와 권리의 중요성을 널리 알리고 지역사회의 관심과 참여를 유도하는 기반을 마련했다는 점에서 의의가 크다.
