[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 26일 ‘2050 탄소중립 도시 선포식’을 가졌다.

이날 거창군의회, 거창교육지원청, 거창소방서 한국전력공사 거창지사, 서울우유거창공장, 외식업중앙회 거창군지부, 시장번영회 환경단체, 어린이 등 지역사회를 구성하는 군민들과 함께 ‘탄소중립 실천 참여 공동선언’을 했다.

이번 선포식은 지금까지 추진해 온 탄소중립 정책을 체계화하고 탄소중립 실천을 범군민적으로 확대해 탄소중립 도시 실현에 속도를 내기 위한 시작점으로 거창군의 탄소중립 의지를 대내외에 알리는 의미 있는 행사였다.

거창군은 지난 23일 탄소중립 녹색성장 기본계획 수립 용역 최종보고회에서 2018년 대비 2030년까지 온실가스 배출 감축률을 75.8%, 2034년까지 감축률 78.4%를 목표로 한 탄소중립 기본계획을 5개 부문 15개 단위 사업으로 선정해 발표했다.

군은 제로에너지 건물 친환경 교통 자원 순환 친환경 농업 산림조성 전략 등 5가지 전략을 실현하기 위해 총 25개 과제에 2034년까지 1,676억원의 예산을 투입하고 온실가스 78.4% 감축할 계획이다.
