서천군, 2024년 공모사업 대응 성과…총 1,067억 원 규모 선정

서천군이 2024년 중앙부처와 충청남도가 주관한 공모사업에 적극적으로 참여한 결과, 총 1,067억 원 규모의 사업에 선정되며 지역 발전의 새로운 전기를 마련했다고 27일 밝혔다.

이는 지난해 대비 약 666억 원 증가한 수치로, 지역 현안 해결과 미래 성장을 위한 기틀을 다지는 데 중요한 성과로 평가된다.

이번에 선정된 공모사업은 중앙부처 주관 24개 사업에서 856억 원, 충청남도 주관 14개 사업에서 211억 원을 각각 확보했다. 특히 국·도비가 전체 예산의 64%에 해당하는 680억 원을 차지하며, 군비로는 추진이 어려운 주요 지역 과제를 해결하는 데 큰 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

주요 선정 사업은 ▲지역 어촌 경제 활성화 및 생활 환경 개선을 위한 '홍원항 어촌신활력 증진사업'(312억 원), ▲지역 자생력을 높일 수 있는 재생 모델인 '장항읍 창선1리 지역특화재생사업'(250억 원), ▲수산물 유통 체계 및 어민 소득 구조 개선과 관련된 '홍원항 위판장 현대화 사업'(120억 원), ▲청년 일자리 창출 및 문화 기반 확충을 위한 '장항원수농공단지 청년복합문화센터 건립'(57억 원), ▲고령화 사회 대응 맞춤형 주거 '충남형 공동생활홈 조성사업'(30억 원) 등이다.
