공주시가 2일 시청 대백제실에서 2025년 시무식을 개최하며 새해 업무를 본격적으로 시작했다. 이날 행사에는 최원철 공주시장을 비롯해 시 산하 공직자 150여 명이 참석해 새로운 한 해를 맞이하는 각오를 다졌다.
최 시장은 시무식에서 "2024년은 다사다난한 해였지만, 공주시 직원들의 열정과 헌신 덕분에 많은 도전을 극복할 수 있었다"며 감사의 마음을 전했다. 이어 "2025년은 '수도거성(水到渠成)', 즉 물이 흐르면 자연스럽게 길이 생기듯 시민과 협력하여 시정 목표를 완수하겠다"고 강조했다.
최 시장은 또한 "혁신, 성장, 상생의 가치를 중심으로 선택과 집중을 통해 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 공감 행정을 펼치겠다"며 "안전, 청렴, 시민 행복도를 한층 더 끌어올리는 한 해로 만들겠다"고 밝혔다.
한편, 민선 8기 주요 사업들의 본격적인 추진과 함께 공주시는 안전한 도시 기반 조성, 전략 산업 육성, 지역 경제 활성화, 지속 가능한 교육복지 도시 건설, 그리고 문화와 예술이 어우러진 품격 있는 도시로의 발전을 목표로 하고 있다.
