백성현 논산시장은 2일 개최된 시무식을 통해 "논산의 가치를 높이고 밝은 미래를 준비하겠다"며 지속적인 혁신 행정을 강조했다. 이날 시무식은 최근 제주 항공 여객기 사고 희생자들을 추모하며 엄숙한 분위기 속에서 진행됐다.
시무식에서는 신속허가과 이용준 주무관 및 민원과 임유진 주무관이 공무원 헌장을 낭독하며, 논산시 공직자로서 시민에게 헌신하고 지속 가능한 발전을 이루겠다는 결의를 다졌다.
백 시장은 "지난 2년 반 동안 논산의 방향을 설정했다면, 이제는 이를 실현하는 데 모든 역량을 집중해야 할 때"라며 창의적이고 열정적인 행정을 통해 논산의 가치를 한층 더 높이겠다고 말했다.
이어 그는 "2025년은 논산의 새로운 변화를 여는 원년이 될 것"이라며, "모든 책임은 제가 지겠다"는 의지를 밝히고, 시민의 행복과 지역 발전을 위해 함께 노력하자고 당부했다.
행사 후 백 시장은 국·소장들과 함께 직원들과 새해 인사를 나누며 "함께 어려움을 극복하고 새로운 도약을 이루자"는 메시지를 전했다.
올해 논산시는 국방군수산업을 중심으로 지역경제를 활성화하고 양질의 일자리를 창출하는 데 역량을 집중할 계획이다.
특히, 국방국가산업단지 분양 준비와 국방미래기술연구센터의 조기 완공을 통해 '국방군수산업의 메카'로 자리매김하겠다는 목표를 세웠다.
