군은 ‘더 큰 거창도약, 군민행복 시대’의 완성을 위해 800여 공직자가 행정력을 집중해 중앙·지방·외부기관 주관 총 수상 58건, 8억여 원의 포상금을 확보해 역대 최다 수상 성과를 올렸다.
주요 수상은 행정안전부 주관 ‘지자체 인구감소 대응 우수사례 경진대회’에서 외국인 계절근로자 도입을 통해 농촌지역의 소멸 위기 대응 사례를 발표해, 기초 시군구 10개 우수 지자체에 선정되어 국무총리상을 수상했다.
