충청남도교육청(교육감 김지철)은 지난 6일 충남교육청교육과정평가정보원에서 도내 교감 및 업무담당자들을 대상으로 2025 마을기반 교육과정 자율학교 배움자리를 개최했다.
이번 행사는 학교와 마을의 연계를 강화하고, 학생들에게 유의미한 배움과 성장을 제공하기 위한 새로운 교육과정 설계를 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.
충남교육청은 충남행복교육지구(2022년 3월 ~ 2027년 2월) 운영과 연계해, 마을교육공동체를 통해 학교 교육과정을 지역과 유기적으로 연결하기 위해 노력하고 있다.
본 교육과정은 학교와 지역사회가 협력·상생하는 혁신 교육모델을 목표로 하며, 마을은 학생과 지역민이 함께 배우는 교육의 장으로서의 역할을 하게 된다.
충남마을교육공동체는 ▲지역기반 혁신미래교육 확산 ▲마을중심 교육활동 활성화 ▲마을교육 생태계 조성을 목표로 운영되고 있으며, 이를 기반으로 학생들의 전인적 성장과 지역사회와의 협력체계를 강화하고 있다.
이날 배움자리는 두 가지 세션으로 나뉘어 진행됐다.
1부 강의에서는 마을기반 교육과정 설계 방향과 성공 사례를 중심으로 실질적인 정보가 제공됐다. 특히 사례 기반 접근법을 통해 교육 담당자들이 복잡한 과정을 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 지원했다.
2부 실습에서는 각 학교별 현장지원단이 참여해, 학교에서 작성한 교육과정 계획서를 검토하고 1:1 맞춤형 지도를 제공하며 신규 지정 학교를 포함한 여러 학교 담당자들이 교육과정 수립 과정에서 겪는 어려움을 해결하는 데 실질적인 도움을 받았다.
한 신규 지정 학교 담당자는 “막막했던 교육과정 설계 작업이 현장지원단의 세심한 지도를 통해 큰 방향성을 잡을 수 있었다”며, 이번 배움자리에 대해 긍정적인 평가를 전했다.
윤표중 충남교육청 정책기획과장은 “마을기반 교육과정 자율학교를 신청해준 학교들에 감사드리며, 교육공동체의 공감대를 바탕으로 학교와 마을이 협력해 학생들이 바른 인성과 기초학력을 겸비할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
충남교육청은 앞으로 ▲충남행복교육지구 교육협력 강화 ▲학교와 마을 연계 확대 ▲마을교육포럼 구축 및 활성화 ▲마을교사·마을학교 성장 지원 ▲인성교육 및 기초학습 지원 강화 등의 다양한 정책을 추진할 계획이다.
특히, 2025학년도에는 마을중심 교육과정 운영과 지역 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 교육 프로그램 개발에 주력해, 학생들이 지역사회의 일원으로 성장할 수 있는 토대를 마련할 예정이다.
