세종국회의사당 조속한 건립과 대통령 집무실 설치 이행 방안 마련을 위한 간담회가 지난 14일 열렸다.
세종시의회 행정수도 완성을 위한 특별위원회(이하 ‘특위’)는 이날 국회를 찾아 김종민 국회의원과 정책간담회를 가졌다.
이번 간담회는 행정수도 완성이라는 국가적 과업의 구체적 이행방안을 마련하기 위해 추진됐다.
이날 간담회에는 안신일 부위원장을 비롯하여 김재형, 김현미, 김효숙, 여미전, 유인호, 이순열 위원이 참석했다.
간담회에서는, 진정한 행정수도 구현을 위한 핵심과제로서 ‘국회세종의사당’과 ‘대통령세종집무실’ 이전의 당위성을 재확인하고, 혁신적 추진방안에 대한 심도 있는 논의가 이루어졌다.
김종민 의원은 “행정수도 완성의 핵심은 세종시에 국회의사당과 대통령집무실을 설치하는 것”이라며, “세종시의회가 행정수도 완성을 위한 특별위원회를 구성한 선제적 조치를 환영한다”고 말했다.
이어 “2030년까지 세종국회의사당 건립 일정을 앞당기고, 국회 전체 이전에 대한 범국민적 합의를 이끌어내는 것이 중요하다”고 강조했다.
안신일 부위원장은 “세종국회의사당과 대통령집무실의 조속한 설치를 위해 지역사회의 폭넓은 공감대를 형성하고, 국회와 긴밀히 협력해 행정수도 완성을 위한 노력을 속도감있게 추진하겠다”라고 말했다.
특위는 같은 날 1국회세종의사당건립위원회가 주최한 토론회에 참석해 실질적 방안을 논의했다.
간담회에서 참석자들은 특위와 국회의 협력을 바탕으로 행정수도 완성이라는 시대적 과제를 실현하기 위한 논의를 하며 새로운 전환점을 모색했다.
박란희 위원장은 “지역균형발전, 지방분권의 선도 지역이 될 행정수도 완성을 위해 실천적 방안 모색에 더욱 박차를 가하겠다”며 의지를 밝혔다.
한편 특위는 지속적으로 정책간담회를 개최해 행정수도 완성을 위한 주요 정책과 당면 과제들을 점검하고, 대응 방안을 모색할 예정이다.
