KCC(대표: 정재훈)가 사회복지공동모금회에 5억5천만원의 이웃사랑 성금을 기부하며 지역사회를 위한 나눔 캠페인에 적극 참여했다. 이번 기부는 KCC의 주요 사업장이 위치한 지역의 사회복지공동모금회 지회에 분할 기탁되어, 기부 혜택이 특정 지역에 편중되지 않고 필요한 곳에 고루 전달될 수 있도록 했다.
기탁된 성금은 각 지역의 소외된 이웃을 위해 사용되며, 주거환경 개선, 복지시설 보수, 긴급 지원 등 다양한 분야에서 실질적인 도움을 제공할 예정이다. KCC는 이번 기부를 시작으로, 올해 ESG 경영을 통해 지역사회의 지속 가능한 발전에 한 걸음 더 나아갈 계획이다.
KCC 관계자는 “KCC는 매년 전국의 이웃들이 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 사회복지공동모금회와 손잡고 기부를 진행하고 있다”며, “기부와 함께 KCC의 고성능 창호, 친환경 페인트 등의 건축자재를 활용해 소외된 이웃들의 근본적인 주거 환경이 개선될 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
또한, KCC는 ‘함께 만드는 더 좋은 세상’이라는 사회공헌 비전 아래, 국토교통부가 추진하는 노후주택 개선사업 ‘새뜰마을’과 서초구 주거환경 개선사업인 ‘반딧불 하우스’ 등 다양한 지역상생 사업을 지원하고 있다. KCC의 이러한 노력은 지역사회와의 상생을 위한 지속적인 실천으로 이어질 전망이다.
KCC donates KRW 550 million to the Neighborly Love Campaign
KCC (CEO: Jaehoon Chung) actively participated in a campaign to share with the local community by donating KRW 550 million to the Social Welfare Foundation. The donation was divided among KCC's local branches in the regions where KCC's major business sites are located, so that the benefits of the donation could be distributed evenly to those in need, rather than concentrated in a specific region.
The donations will be used for underprivileged neighbors in each region, providing practical help in various areas such as improving housing conditions, repairing welfare facilities, and providing emergency support. Starting with this donation, KCC plans to take a step forward in sustainable development of local communities through ESG management this year.
A KCC representative said, “Every year, KCC partners with the Social Welfare Foundation to make donations to benefit neighbors across the country.” “Along with the donation, we will continue to strive to improve the fundamental living conditions of marginalized neighbors by using KCC's high-performance windows, eco-friendly paints, and other building materials,” he added.
In addition, KCC supports various local win-win projects such as 'Saetae Village', an old housing improvement project promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, and 'Firefly House', a residential environment improvement project in Seocho-gu, under its social contribution vision of 'Creating a Better World Together'. KCC's efforts are expected to lead to continuous practices for mutual growth with the local community.
