브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤상현 국민의힘 의원은 1일 MBC 기상캐스터 고(故) 오요안나씨 사망과 관련 "고용노동부가 직권으로 직장 내 괴롭힘 여부를 조사해야 한다"라고 강조했다.
윤상현 의원은 이날 자신의 페이스북을 통해 "MBC가 오요안나 기상캐스터의 사망 원인을 규명하기 위해 진상조사위원회를 구성하고 진상조사에 나서기로 했다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "고인이 숨진 지 넉 달 동안 아무 조치도 없다가 유서가 발견되고 논란이 확산하자, 이제서야 확인하겠다는 MBC가 과연 이 문제를 철저하게 조사하고 사건의 진실을 규명할 의지가 있을지 의문"이라며 "지난달 28일 내놓은 최초 입장문은 구차한 변명만 늘어놓고 있어 논할 가치도 없지만, 고인이나 유가족께 단 한마디의 사과나 애도를 표하지 않은 점은 정말 이해할 수 없다"고 비판했다.
이어 "오히려 '이 문제를 'MBC 흔들기' 차원에서 접근하는 세력들의 준동에 대해서도 우려를 표한다'라며 정치적인 색을 입히는 것을 보면 공영방송으로서 최소한의 도덕성과 책임감이 있는지 의심마저 든다"라고 꼬집었다.
윤 의원은 그러면서 "오요안나 기상캐스터의 사망 사건에 대한 진상조사는 MBC에 자체적으로 맡겨서는 안 된다. 지금 즉시 노동부가 직권으로 조사해야 하고 국가인권위원회도 인권 침해 여부를 함께 조사해야 한다"라고 강조했다.
같은 당 김장겸 의원도 이날 페이스북에 "MBC에 대한 관리감독 책임이 있는 권태선 이사장을 비롯한 방송문화진흥회도 여론이 떠들석한데도 입을 꾹 닫고 있다"라며 "민주당과 이재명 대표의 선전선동 방송으로 맹렬히 활약하고 있는 MBC를 보며 흐뭇해하고 있는 것인가"라고 비판하기도 했다.
한편, MBC는 기상캐스터 오요안나씨가 사망한지 약 4개월여 만에 원인과 진실을 규명하기 위해 외부전문가를 위원장으로 하는 진상조사위원회를 구성하기로 했다고 밝힌 바 있다.
