충청남도 공주의료원이 공주권(공주시, 계룡시) 아동·청소년의 건강 증진을 위한 ‘소아 청소년 건강울타리 사업’을 본격적으로 추진한다.
이번 사업은 지역 내 의료·보건·복지기관과 협력해 건강 돌봄 네트워크를 구축하고, 특히 취약계층 아동·청소년들의 건강권 강화를 목표로 한다.
공주의료원은 기초생활수급자, 한부모 및 조손가정 등 취약계층의 초등학생과 중학생을 우선적으로 진료하며, 소아·청소년 복지시설 이용자를 대상으로 건강증진 교육을 실시한다.
특히, 이번 교육은 1월 15일부터 2월 20일까지 공주권 내 지역아동센터 및 다함께 돌봄센터 총 19개소를 대상으로 21회에 걸쳐 진행된다. 교육 프로그램은 올바른 위생 습관을 길러주는 기본위생관리 교육과 건강증진을 위한 밴드 운동으로 구성돼 있다.
겨울방학은 아이들이 가정에서 머무는 시간이 늘어나고, 취약계층 아동·청소년들에게 필요한 지원이 부족해질 수 있는 시기다. 이에 따라 공주의료원의 건강 교육이 더욱 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.
