충남 금산군이 치매 어르신들의 가정 내 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 실질적인 지원에 나섰다.
금산군 치매안심센터는 어르신들의 낙상 및 화재 사고를 방지하기 위해 가스 안전차단기와 안전바 손잡이 설치 지원 사업을 진행한다고 4일 밝혔다.
이 사업은 거동이 불편한 치매 환자들이 보다 안전한 환경에서 생활할 수 있도록 돕기 위한 것으로, 설치가 필요한 가구를 대상으로 전문가가 직접 방문해 가정환경에 맞게 안전장치를 부착할 예정이다.
올해 사업은 재가 치매 어르신 150가정을 대상으로 진행되며, 예산 소진 시까지 선착순으로 신청을 받는다. 지원을 희망하는 가정은 치매안심센터에 문의하면 된다.
센터 관계자는 “이번 지원을 통해 치매 환자들이 보다 안전한 환경에서 생활하며 삶의 질이 향상되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 정책을 통해 보호자의 부담을 줄이고, 지역사회 내 치매 친화적 환경을 조성하기 위해 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
