한설 예비역 장군은 이어 “문재인을 비판하는 가장 큰 이유는 한국에서 진보정권이 행정부와 입법부를 완전하게 장악했던 유일한 시기에 국제정치적 여건의 개선과 남북관계의 활로를 뚫을 수 있는 그 어떤 노력과 시도도 하지 않았으며, 오히려 친미일변도로 넘어갔다는 것”이라고 비판하고 “일부 보수세력들이 문재인을 친중 친북이라고 하는 사람들이 있는데 그들은 상황을 전혀 잘못파악하고 있다. 문재인은 역대 어떤 정권보다 친미였고 반북이었다. 문재인은 한국이 다가오는 국제정치적 격변과 혼란의 시대에 능동적으로 대처하기 위한 준비를 하지 못하도록 방해했던 인물이고, 북한과의 신뢰를 완전하게 붕괴시켜 버린 책임자”라고, 지적했다.
