윤석열 대통령 측이 9일 헌법재판소 탄핵심판 변론에서 '인원'이란 말을 쓰지 않는다고 진술한 윤 대통령 발언 논란 관련해 "윤 대통령이 '나는 인원이란 말을 안 쓴다'고 진술한 의미는 이 사람 저 사람 등 지시대명사로 이 인원 또는 저 인원이란 표현을 안 쓴다는 뜻"이라고 반박했다.
윤 대통령 변호인단 석동현 변호사는 이날 페이스북을 통해 "윤 대통령도 '인원수가 얼마냐' '불필요한 인원은 줄여라' '인원만큼 주문해' 이런 표현에서 당연히 인원이란 단어를 쓴다"며 "변론에서 말한 '인원'도 이런 맥락"이라고 했다.
앞서 지난 6일 헌재 탄핵심판 6차 변론에서 곽종근 전 특수전사령관은 윤 대통령으로부터 "인원을 끄집어내라"는 지시를 받았다고 증언했다.
그러자 윤 대통령은 "인원이라고 얘기 했다는데 저는 사람이란 표현을 놔두고 의원이면 의원이지 인원이란 말을 써본 적 없다"고 반박했다.
