정월대보름을 하루 앞둔 지난 11일, 논산시 곳곳에서 한 해의 풍년과 마을의 안녕을 기원하는 전통 행사가 열렸다.
특히 노성면 호암2리 마을회관 광장에서는 ‘제12회 달집태우기 소원행사’가 개최돼 지역 주민들이 함께 소망을 빌고 정을 나누는 시간을 가졌다.
이날 행사에는 백성현 논산시장과 권선옥 논산문화원장을 비롯해 시민 100여 명이 참석해 마을 공동체의 화합을 다졌다. 행사는 노성두레풍물단의 지신밟기를 시작으로 숟가락난타, 국악놀이패 흥나리의 공연, 고고장구 공연 등이 이어지며 흥겨운 분위기가 펼쳐졌다.
참석한 주민들은 각자의 소망을 담은 소원지를 달집에 매달고, 밤과 소떡을 구워 먹으며 따뜻한 시골 정취를 만끽했다. 해가 저물고 달이 떠오르자, 기원문 낭독과 시낭송이 진행된 후 장작을 높이 쌓아 올린 달집에 불이 붙었다. 활활 타오르는 불길을 바라보며 주민들은 액운을 씻어내고 풍년과 복을 기원하는 마음을 모았다.
