[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 17일부터 ‘청년 디딤돌통장’ 2023년 참여자 100명을 대상으로 2년 만기 적립금을 지급한다.
‘청년 디딤돌통장’은 청년들의 자산 형성을 지원해 경제적 자립과 안정적 생활을 돕기 위해 거창군이 2022년부터 자체 추진해 온 사업으로 청년과 거창군이 매월 각각 20만원씩 2년간 공동 적립하면, 만기 시 청년이 저축한 금액의 두 배인 1,000만원을 마련할 수 있다.
거창군은 2022년부터 매년 100명을 선정해 지원하고 있으며 2022년 참여자 만기 해지 이후 두 번째 결실을 맺게 됐다.
1차 만기 해지자들의 적립금 사용계획을 조사한 결과 주거비, 기타, 창업자금, 구직활동, 결혼자금 순으로 나타났으며 이는 ‘청년 디딤돌통장’ 사업이 청년들의 생활 기반 마련에 실질적인 도움이 됐다을 보여줬다.
구인모군수는 “이 사업을 통해 차곡차곡 모은 티끌 같은 돈이 태산이 되어 청년들의 미래를 여는 디딤돌이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 미래를 꿈꾸며 성장하는 청년들을 위해 청년 정책에 지속적인 관심을 가지고 발전을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 거창군은 2023년 만기 해지자 100명을 대상으로 오는 3월부터 수기 공모를 시행해, 참여자들의 진솔한 이야기를 공유하며 다른 청년들에게 동기를 부여할 예정이다.
