논산시는 시민들이 생활 속 안전을 직접 챙길 수 있도록 ‘2025년 집중안전점검 주민신청제’를 운영한다고 18일 밝혔다.
이 제도는 주민들이 안전이 우려되는 시설을 신청하면 전문가와 공무원으로 구성된 점검단이 해당 시설을 현장 확인하고 개선 방안을 마련하는 방식으로 진행된다.
주요 점검 대상은 마을회관, 경로당, 복지시설, 교량, 산사태 취약지 등 시민들의 일상과 밀접한 소규모 공공시설이다. 단, 관리 주체가 명확히 있는 시설이나 공사 중인 시설, 법적 점검 대상은 신청 대상에서 제외된다.
신청 기간은 오는 4월 30일까지이며, 가까운 읍·면·동 행정복지센터를 방문해 신청서를 작성하거나 안전신문고 앱과 포털 사이트를 통해서도 접수가 가능하다.
접수된 시설들은 선정위원회의 심의를 거쳐 점검 여부를 결정하며, 이후 민간 전문가와 공무원이 함께 현장을 방문해 안전 상태를 진단할 예정이다.
또한, 점검이 완료되면 결과와 필요한 보수·보강 조치 계획을 관리 주체와 신청자에게 공유해 지속적인 안전 관리가 이뤄지도록 할 방침이다.
시 관계자는 “주민들이 직접 참여해 안전 사각지대를 해소할 수 있는 좋은 기회”라며 “앞으로도 시민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위한 다양한 안전 정책을 추진해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
한편, 논산시는 매년 정기적인 안전 점검을 통해 생활 속 위험요소를 사전에 발견·조치하며 시민들이 안심할 수 있는 안전한 도시 환경을 조성하고 있다.
