[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 지난 20일 농업기술센터 및 관계 부서장, 실무협의위원 등 21명이 참석한 가운데 ‘거창군 유기농복합단지 설계용역’ 중간보고회를 개최했다.
이날 중간보고회는 설계용역사인 ㈜세이브종합건축사 사무소가 건축물 디자인 의도와 내·외부 공간 배치, 친환경 설비 계획 등을 보고하고 관련 부서와 전문가들의 의견을 수렴하는 방식으로 진행됐다.
발표된 설계안에 따르면 유기농복합단지는 부지면적 1만5,427㎡, 건축면적 3,956㎡ 규모로 조성된다.
단층 구조의 유기적인 화랑형 건물로 설계되어 방문객 동선의 효율성을 높이고 중앙에는 잔디광장이 배치되어 개방감을 극대화해 쾌적한 시야가 확보된다.
또한 태양광과 지열을 활용한 친환경에너지 설비를 도입해 에너지 절감 효과를 높일 수 있도록 계획됐다.
유기농복합단지는 남상면 월평리에 위치한 경남 제1호 지방정원인 거창창포원 일원에 조성된다.
단지 내에는 친환경 농산물을 주제로 한 레스토랑, 카페 등 식음 편의시설과 친환경 쌀, 산양삼, 꽃, 오미자 등 거창의 다양한 친환경 농산물을 활용한 가공 체험관, 체험 텃밭도 운영될 예정이다.
특히 단지 내에 조성될 토종씨앗 도서관은 거창의 다양한 토종 씨앗을 보존·확산하는 역할을 하며 종자주권 확보와 기후 위기에 대응하는 미래 농업의 발판이 될 것으로 기대된다.
이처럼 유기농복합단지는 연간 30만명 이상이 방문하는 창포원에 부족했던 먹거리, 편의시설, 체험프로그램, 휴식 공간을 제공하는 것은 물론, 친환경 농산물과 소비자를 연결하는 거점 역할을 하게 될 전망이다.
김동석 거창군농업기술센터 소장은 “거창군의 생활인구 100만명 달성과 친환경농업 육성의 마중물이 될 수 있도록 설계단계부터 철저히 준비해달라”며 “유기농복합단지 건립으로 창포원 방문객들에게 다양한 친환경먹거리와 체험거리, 휴식 공간을 제공할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 거창군은 이번 중간보고회에서 제시된 의견을 반영해 창포원과의 연계성을 보완하고 오는 6월까지 설계를 마무리한 뒤 10월 착공, 2026년 12월 준공을 목표로 사업을 추진할 계획이다.
