종시가 내달 지역대학을 대상으로 사업참여계획서를 받는 것을 시작으로 지역과 대학의 동반성장을 위한 라이즈(RISE) 사업을 본격 추진한다고 21일 밝혔다.
이를 위해 세종시는 오는 28일부터 3월 27일까지 라이즈 사업에 참여 의사가 있는 지역대학을 대상으로 공모를 실시한다.
이번 사업 공모 과제는 총 5개이며, 사업예산 규모는 182억 원(국비 152억 원, 시비 30억 원)이다.
세종시는 21일 집현실에서 2025년 제1차 지방대육성협의회를 열고 ‘2025년 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 시행계획(안)’을 심의·확정했다.
이날 협의회에는 최민호 시장과 김영 고려대 부총장을 비롯한 대학 관계자, 산업계, 시의회 의원 등이 참석했다.
2025년 라이즈 시행계획은 ‘창조와 도전의 고등교육 혁신 한두리캠퍼스 구축’을 목표로 하고 있다.
단위과제는 한두리캠퍼스 구축·운영 ,5+1 미래전략산업 특화 전문인재 양성 ,지·산·학, 국책연구기관 협력 기업육성 생태계 조성 ,미래형 성인학습자 아카데미 ,한글문화수도 조성 및 전시(MICE) 산업 육성 등 5개로 구성된다.
한두리캠퍼스는 대학과 기관의 벽을 허물어 세종시를 하나의 캠퍼스화(One-Campus)하는 것으로, 세종시가 추진하는 라이즈 사업의 핵심 단위과제다. 각 대학의 특성화 분야를 중심으로 주변 혁신기관과 연합해 공동 교과를 운영하고 공동학위를 수여하는 것을 골자로 한다.
또한, 시의 발전전략과 대학 특성화 분야를 연결해 대학 중심 지역 산업 인재를 양성하는 ‘5+1 미래전략산업 특화 전문인재 양성’ 등 각각의 단위과제에는 세종만의 특성이 반영됐다.
지역대학은 내달 21일부터 27일까지 라이즈 사업 5개 단위과제 중 사업 참여를 희망하는 과제에 대해 계획서를 제출하면 된다. 특히, 시는 세종시뿐 아니라 충청광역연합 구성 지자체 소재 대학, 기업, 기관 등이 함께 단위과제별 컨소시엄을 구성해 사업에 참여할 수 있도록 범위를 확대했다.
세종시는 평가위원회를 구성해 제출된 사업계획서를 평가하고, 세종라이즈위원회의 심의를 통해 오는 4월 말 지원대학을 확정할 계획이다.
