[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 홍태용 김해시장이 24일 산업현장을 방문해 대내외 환경변화로 어려움을 겪고 있는 기업을 격려하고 애로사항을 청취했다.
이날 홍 시장은 진영농공단지 내 자동차 부품기업인 대호정기(주)를 찾아 생산현장을 둘러보고 직원들을 격려한 데 이어 단지 기업체협의회 회원들을 만나 현안을 논의했다.
대호정기(주)는 50년 노하우와 기술력으로 자체 개발한 라이트, 계기판, 하네스 등을 생산해 한화에어로스페이스, 기아자동차, 현대로템 등 K-방산 대표 기업들에 납품하고 미국, 동남아시아 등 해외로도 수출하고 있다.
대호정기(주) 신영근 대표는 “세계적으로 K-방산 제품이 우수성을 인정받고 있어 전 직원이 K-방산의 위상을 높인다는 자부심으로 일하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 품질 향상과 기술 개발에 노력해 지역을 대표하는 기업으로 성장하겠다”고 말했다.

이어 진영농공단지 기업체협의회를 방문한 홍 시장은 이동헌 대표로부터 올해 사업계획에 대한 설명을 듣고 협의회 회원들과 함께 주요 현안에 대한 의견을 나눴다.
진영농공단지는 1997년 준공 후 자동차, 기계, 금속 업종 등 52개 업체가 입주해 지역산업의 중추적 역할을 해왔으나 노후화와 문화·복지·여가시설 부재로 청년근로자 유입에 어려움을 겪고 있다.
이에 김해시는 노후 산단 이미지를 벗고 청년친화형 산단으로 거듭날 수 있도록 환경개선 공모사업에 적극 참여 중이다. 지난 2022년 공모 선정으로 복합문화센터 건립을 추진하고 있으며 지난 1월에는 환경조성사업 통합 패키지 공모를 신청해 결과를 기다리고 있다.
이 대표는 “복합문화센터 건립으로 산단 환경이 개선되어 청년층이 많이 유입될 것으로 기대한다”며 “올해 신청한 공모사업에도 선정될 수 있도록 계속적인 지원을 바란다”고 요청했다.
홍 시장은 “지역경제 활성화와 지역산업의 지속 가능한 발전을 위해 산업단지가 청년친화형으로 변화해야 한다”며 “올해 공모 선정뿐만 아니라 산업단지 활성화를 위해 아낌없이 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
