경주시는 2021년부터 내남면 이조리에서 진행해온 기초생활거점 조성사업의 일환으로, 오는 5월까지 48억 4,000만원을 들여 소통화합공간과 문화복지 거점시설을 구축한다. 현재 소통화합공간은 70%의 공정률을 보이고 있으며, 문화복지 거점시설은 지난해 12월 이미 완공됐다.
소통화합공간은 총 연면적 749㎡ 규모로 다목적 강당, 체력단련장, 그리고 25면의 주차장이 마련된다. 이 공간은 주민들이 자유롭게 소통하고 교류할 수 있는 중요한 역할을 할 예정이다.
문화복지 거점시설은 연면적 1,495㎡ 규모로, 2층에는 교육실과 커뮤니티실이 있는 복지회관이, 3층에는 옥외 북커뮤니티실이 마련된다. 이 복지회관에서는 풍물교실, 요가, 라인댄스, 탁구 등 다양한 주민자치 프로그램이 운영되어 지역 주민들의 역량 강화를 돕는다.
또한, 시는 2028년까지 20억 원을 투입해 동아리 프로그램 운영, 케어돌보미, 안전교육 등 기초생활거점 조성사업의 2단계인 소프트웨어 사업을 진행할 예정이다.
해당 사업은 2020년 6월 농림축산식품부 주관의 기초생활거점 공모에 선정되었으며, 문화복지 거점시설은 2023년 12월, 소통화합공간은 지난해 7월 착공됐다. 이번 사업을 통해 내남면은 지역 주민들에게 더욱 활발한 소통과 복지 혜택을 제공하는 중요한 거점으로 거듭날 전망이다.
