충남 예산군이 친환경 농축산물 생산을 적극적으로 지원하기 위해 유용 미생물을 대량 생산해 농가에 무상 공급할 계획이라고 26일 밝혔다.
예산군 농업기술센터에서 생산하게 될 미생물은 농업용과 축산용으로 나뉜다.
농업용 미생물은 EM과 클로렐라 등 2종으로, 작물의 생육을 촉진하고 품질을 향상시키며 병해충 발생을 예방하는 효과가 있다. 축산용 미생물은 고초균, 유산균, 효모균, 광합성균 등 4종으로, 가축의 장내 미생물 균형을 개선해 생산성을 높이고 축사 악취를 저감하는 데 도움을 준다.
특히 농업기술센터는 최근 자동공급장치(키오스크)를 구축하여 농가들이 보다 위생적이고 편리하게 미생물을 받을 수 있도록 했다. 미생물 공급을 희망하는 농가는 깨끗한 통을 준비해 방문하면 손쉽게 받을 수 있다.
한편, 농업기술센터는 사과 재배 농가를 대상으로 역병 예방을 위한 고초균을 공급할 계획이다. 공급량은 재배면적 1㏊ 미만 농가는 20ℓ, 1㏊ 이상 농가는 40ℓ로, 3월부터 5월까지 주 2회(수·목요일) 제공된다.
