충남 금산군이 도시민의 성공적인 귀농 정착을 돕기 위해 다양한 정책을 추진하고 체계적인 귀농 교육과 창업 지원을 강화하는 등 도시민 유치를 위한 홍보 활동을 적극적으로 확대할 계획이라고 26일 밝혔다.
군북면에 위치한 금산군 귀농교육센터는 연간 2,000여 명의 상담을 진행하며, 신규 농업인을 위한 기초 영농기술 교육, 현장 실습, 상설 교육 등을 운영하고 있다.
센터는 주택형 16세대, 기숙형 4세대 규모의 주거 시설과 공동 실습농장, 텃밭 등을 갖춰 예비 귀농인의 실질적인 정착을 지원하고 있으며, 입교자와 수료생 간 자치 모임을 활성화하는 등 지속적인 네트워크가 구축될 수 있도록 체계적 여건 마련에 나서고 있다.
또한, 금산군은 ‘귀농 창업 원스톱 지원’ 시스템을 통해 초기 정착을 돕고 있으며, 현재까지 120세대 261명의 교육 수료자 중 78세대 183명이 금산에 정착하는 성과를 거뒀다. 더불어 귀농인들의 창업과 농업 기반 조성을 위한 지원을 강화해 안정적인 농촌 생활을 이어갈 수 있도록 돕고 있다.

한편, 금산군관광문화재단에서는 ‘일주일 살아보기 프로젝트’를 운영하며, 귀농·귀촌 희망자들을 대상으로 금산 농촌 문화 체험의 기회를 제공하는 등 지역 주민과의 교류 및 농촌 체험을 통해 도농 간 소통 촉진과 교류 활성화에 나서고 있다.
이 외에도 남일면 금남초 한옥마을을 조성해 한옥 단독주택 21호 및 편의시설을 마련하고 귀농·귀촌 지원과 연계해 금산군으로의 안정적인 이주를 도우며, 신규 귀농인에게 소모성 농업 자재 지원, 영농 기술 교육, 유통·브랜딩 컨설팅 등 실질적인 지원책도 제공할 방침이다.
