[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 기존에 접종일 포함 1년 이상 거창에 거주한 65세 이상 취약계층과 70세 이상 어르신을 대상으로 시행하던 대상포진 예방접종 지원을 오는 3월부터 65세 이상 어르신 전체로 확대해 실시한다고 밝혔다.
대상포진은 수두 바이러스가 몸속에 잠복해 있다가 면역력이 저하됐을 때 신경을 타고 나와 피부에 발진, 수포 등을 유발하고 극심한 통증을 동반하는 질환이다.
특히 면역력이 약한 고령층은 대상포진 발병 시 심각한 합병증을 초래할 수 있지만 해당 백신은 국가 필수 예방 접종 항목이 아니어서 일반 병의원에서 예방접종 시 15만 ~ 20만원의 비용을 부담해야 했다.
이에 거창군은 건강취약계층을 대상으로 대상포진 예방 접종을 지원하고 있으며 이번 확대 시행을 통해 65세 이상 모든 어르신이 지원 대상이 된다.
접종을 원하는 65세 이상 일반주민은 신분증, 주민등록초본을 지참하고 시행비 19,610원을 부담하면 협약된 관내 19개 위탁의료기관에서 접종받을 수 있다.
