충남 계룡시는 지난 27일 시청 상황실에서 ‘2025년 제1회 지역사회보장 대표협의체’ 회의를 열고, 지역 복지 정책의 성과를 점검하는 한편 향후 추진 방향을 논의했다고 밝혔다.
이번 회의에는 대표협의체 위원 22명이 참석했으며, 2024년 지역사회보장협의체의 주요 사업 결과를 공유하고, 제5기 지역사회보장계획의 연차별 시행계획에 대한 심의가 진행됐다.
특히 이날 논의에서는 복지 사각지대 해소와 사회적 약자 지원 방안을 중심으로 보다 실질적인 정책 개선이 필요하다는 의견이 제기됐다. 참석자들은 지역 내 복지 네트워크를 더욱 활성화하고, 주민이 체감할 수 있는 맞춤형 복지 서비스를 확대해 나가기로 뜻을 모았다.
조지용 민간위원장은 “지역 주민들이 실질적인 변화를 느낄 수 있도록 협의체의 역할을 강화하고, 복지 네트워크를 보다 촘촘하게 구축하는 데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
계룡시 관계자는 “이번 회의를 계기로 지역 복지 정책이 단순한 계획에 머무르지 않고, 실제 현장에서 효과적으로 실행될 수 있도록 지속적으로 보완·발전시켜 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
