경북 유일의 출산지원시설인 누리영타운은 이혼, 사별, 미혼 임산부 및 출산 후 1년 이내인 여성에게 최대 2년간 보금자리를 제공한다. 시는 이를 위해 올해 4억 9천만 원의 예산을 편성, 통합운영비와 특수치료·취사비, 상담치료 및 진로자립 지원 사업 등을 지원한다.
또한, 한부모가족 생활지원시설인 경주애가원은 18세 미만의 아동을 양육하는 무주택 저소득 모자 가족에게 최대 7년간 거주할 수 있는 공간을 제공한다. 이에 대해 시는 5억 3천만 원의 예산을 들여 직업교육 연계, 아이돌보미 지원, 방과후 아동지원, 자립 정착금 등을 지원할 예정이다.
