충남 금산군이 금산인삼약초산업진흥원과 협력해 전국 최초로 인삼 생산 전 과정에 대한 안전관리 시스템을 도입한다. 이를 통해 인삼 재배 전 주기에 걸친 품질 및 안전 관리를 강화하고, 소비자 신뢰 확보와 금산인삼 산업의 경쟁력 강화를 도모할 계획이다.
이번 시스템은 금산인삼약초산업진흥원의 첨단 장비와 전문 인력을 활용해 ▲예정지 ▲생육기 ▲채굴 전 등 각 단계에서 체계적인 품질 및 안전 관리가 이루어지도록 설계됐다.
특히 예정지 토양의 잔류농약 및 중금속 검사, 생육기 및 채굴 전 잔류농약 검사 등을 포함한 다양한 안전성 검사를 전액 무상 지원한다. 이를 통해 농산물우수관리(GAP) 인증 및 농약 허용기준 강화제도(PLS)를 충족하는 안전한 인삼을 생산하고, 금산형 안전인삼 유통 체계를 구축할 방침이다.
군은 이번 조치를 통해 인삼 생산 농가의 부담을 줄이는 동시에 국내외 소비자들에게 더욱 신뢰받는 금산인삼을 공급할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
