브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘은 조국혁신당이 오는 4월 4일까지 윤석열 대통령 탄핵심판 선고가 나오지 않을 경우 헌법재판관을 상대로 '전국민 화병 위자료 청구 집단소송'을 추진하겠다고 밝힌데 대해 맹비난을 퍼부었다.
함인경 대변인은 논평을 통해 "도대체 어떤 기준으로 ‘화병’을 정의하고, 어떤 자격으로 특정 재판관에게 책임을 묻겠다는 것인가"라며 "더욱 가관인 건, 국회를 대리해 탄핵심판에 참여했던 변호사를 선고도 나기 전에 재보궐선거 후보로 내세우더니, 이제는 선거를 앞두고 ‘화병 위자료 청구’라는 자극적인 쇼까지 동원하고 있다"고 비판했다.
이어 "탄핵을 출세의 발판으로 삼더니, 선고보다 선거가 더 급한 속내가 고스란히 드러난다"면서 "국민을 대변한다는 명분으로 헌재를 흔들고, 탄핵을 정치 마케팅 수단처럼 소모하는 조국당의 행태는 금도를 넘어선 저질 정치의 민낯"이라고 꼬집었다.
그는 "헌법재판소의 선고 지연을 안타까워하는 건 국민의힘도 마찬가지다. 그러나 지금은 헌재의 시간"이라며, 헌법상 헌재는 사건 접수일로부터 180일 이내에 선고할 수 있도록 돼 있고, 윤 대통령 탄핵안이 가결된 지는 110일이 채 되지 않았다고 설명했다.
이어 "‘화병 위자료’ 운운하며 헌재를 협박하는 조국당이야말로 진짜 ‘국민 화병 유발 정당’ 아닌가"라고 반문했다.
