[브레이크뉴스=박찬호 기자] 한국남동발전이 경상국립대와 손잡고, 경남 최초로 무탄소 발전 전문가 양성에 나서기로 했다.
한국남동발전은 1일 경상국립대학교에서 한국남동발전과 경상국립대학교 양 기관 관계자들이 참석한 가운데, 무탄소발전 전문가 특화교육 업무협약을 체결했다.
이번 협약으로 두 기관은 석탄발전의 정의로운 에너지전환을 위해 수소 등 무탄소에너지 전문인력 양성에 나설 계획이다.
남동발전은 그동안 탄소중립 실현과 정의로운 에너지전환을 목표로 수소 분야에 대한 지속적인 투자와 기술개발을 이어왔으며, 이번 협약을 통해 석탄을 넘어 수소의 시대로 전환에 앞장서고 에너지전환 과정에서 새로운 일자리 창출을 통해 사회적 책임을 이행하고자 한다.
경상국립대는 최신 기술과 재료, 무탄소에너지 등 에너지 기술 전반에 관한 연구를 진행하고 있는 지역 거점대학으로 이번 협약을 통해 경남 최초의 무탄소에너지 전문가 양성을 위한 과정 개설에 첫발을 내딛게 됐다.
