서천군, '발달장애인 안전망 구축' 위한 스마트태그 지원

충남 서천군이 발달장애인의 실종 예방 및 적절한 초동 대응, 사회안전망 구축을 위한 ‘스마트태그 지원사업’ 추진에 나섰다고 1일 밝혔다.

이 사업은 인지 능력이 부족하거나 배회 성향이 있는 발달장애인을 보호하기 위한 것으로, 보호자가 실시간으로 위치를 확인할 수 있도록 위치 정보 제공 기능이 탑재된 스마트태그를 무상 지원하는 것이 핵심이다.

군은 지난해 GPS 기반 배회 감지기를 10명의 발달장애인에게 지원한 바 있으며, 올해는 지원 대상 인원을 57명으로 대폭 확대하고 기기를 스마트태그로 변경해 보다 효율적인 관리가 가능하도록 했다.

지원 대상은 서천군에 주민등록이 되어 있는 지적장애 및 자폐성 장애를 가진 등록 발달장애인이며, 보호자 또는 가족 중 스마트폰을 사용할 수 있어야 한다. 특히, 기초생활수급자 등 소득 취약계층이 우선 지원 대상이며, 거주시설 입소 예정자와 지난해 지원을 받은 기존 수혜자는 제외된다.
