이번 선거에선 부산시 교육감을 비롯해 서울 구로구청장, 충남 아산시장, 전남 담양군수, 경북 김천시장, 경남 거제시장 등 기초단체장 5명과 광역의원 8명, 기초의원 9명을 뽑는다.
특히 윤석열 대통령에 대한 탄핵심판 선고를 앞두고 열리는 전국 단위 선거여서, 민심의 흐름을 가늠해 볼 수 있을 것으로 전망된다.
