[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 고용·노동 서비스 강화를 위해 2일 김해시청에서 한국산업인력공단과 업무협약을 체결하고 경남동부권역 통합 인프라 구축과 공단 사업 활성화에 협력해 나가기로 했다.
협약식에는 홍태용 김해시장을 비롯해 한국산업인력공단 이우영 이사장을 대신해 권통일 상임감사, 송길용 부산지역본부장, 최상문 경남지사장 등이 참석했다.
협약에는 ▲능력개발사업 확산과 활성화 협업 추진 ▲국가자격사업의 원활한 시행을 위한 지역 시설 이용과 디지털국가자격시험센터 운영 협력지원 ▲외국인근로자의 안정적인 체류를 위한 교육과 지원 ▲청년 해외 진출 확대를 위한 협업 추진 ▲고용노동 서비스 활성화와 지역발전을 위한 상호협력 등이 담겼다.
시와 공단 간의 협력은 지난 2021년 시의 공단 경남동부지사 신설 추진 노력으로 시작됐으며 시는 지난 2월 다시 공단을 방문해 협의하는 과정에서 이번 협약이 이뤄졌다.
시는 경남동부권 업무를 관할하는 부산본부, 경남지사는 물론 울산에 소재한 공단 본사를 방문해 회의를 거쳤으며 최종적으로 협약 체결로 이어졌다.
향후 시는 부산본부, 경남지사와 유기적 협력체계를 강화해 시민들에게 고용, 노동 행정 편의를 제공할 수 있는 사업을 우선 추진하고 김해, 밀양, 양산 등 동부권 통합 행정 인프라를 구축해 나갈 예정이다.
먼저 국가기술자격시험 접수와 응시에 불편을 겪어왔던 김해시민들의 편의 증진을 위해 김해 디지털국가자격시험센터(DTC)의 사업 부지 발굴에 적극 협조하는 등 행정 인프라 구축을 위해 노력한다.
홍태용 시장은 “공단과 지자체가 공단의 전반적인 사업에 대하여 최초로 협약을 체결하게 되어 매우 기쁘다”며 “동부권역 통합 인프라 구축과 공단의 사업 활성화를 위하여 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
