두계장터의 함성, 계룡에서 다시 울려 퍼지다

충남 계룡시가 지난 1일 두마초등학교에서 ‘두계장터 4.1 독립만세운동’ 재현 행사를 열고, 독립을 외쳤던 선열들의 희생과 정신을 기리는 시간을 가졌다고 2일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 두마면 주민자치회의 주관으로 진행됐으며, ‘대한이 살았다! 계룡인의 함성’이라는 주제로 1919년 4월 1일 두계장터에서 펼쳐졌던 독립만세운동을 재조명했으며, 이응우 계룡시장과 김범규 계룡시의회 의장을 비롯해 시의원, 독립유공자 후손, 보훈단체 회원, 시민 등 1,000여 명이 참석해 뜻깊은 시간을 함께했다.

행사는 계룡시 어린이합창단의 축하공연을 시작으로 국민의례, 독립선언문 낭독, 기념사, 3·1절 노래 제창, 만세 삼창, 거리행진 및 플래시몹, 해군 홍보단의 퍼포먼스 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 구성됐다. 특히 독립유공자 후손들과 계룡시민 33인이 함께 독립선언서를 낭독하는 영상을 사전 제작해 공개하면서 행사에 의미를 더했다.

이와 함께 태극기 키링 만들기, 무궁화 바람개비 만들기, 애국가 가사 맞추기 등 우리나라의 상징과 애국정신을 체험할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램도 마련돼 시민들의 높은 관심과 참여를 이끌어냈다.
