대전특수교육원은 지난 2일, 지역 내 특수학교(급) 진로·직업 담당교사 28명을 대상으로 ‘2025학년도 특수학교(급) 진로·직업 담당교사 협의회’를 개최했다고 3일 밝혔다.
이번 협의회는 특수교육대상 학생의 진로 탐색과 취업 역량 강화, 담당교사 전문성 함양 및 정보교류 등을 목적으로 마련됐다.
협의회에는 특수학교에서 진로 교육을 담당하는 전담교사 6명과 특수학급의 진로·직업 중심교사 22명이 참여했다. 이들은 장애학생들의 원활한 사회진출을 돕기 위해 진로·직업교육 운영 방안을 논의하고, 관련 정보와 사례를 공유했다.
1부에서는 2024학년도 대전특수교육원의 진로·직업교육 운영 성과를 돌아보고, 2025학년도 주요 사업 계획을 안내했다. 이어 담당 교사들의 역할 강화와 장애학생들의 효과적인 진로체험 및 취업·진학을 지원하기 위한 다양한 프로그램 운영 방안이 공유됐다.
2부에서는 아누타 강슬기 매니저가 생성형 인공지능(AI)을 활용한 예술 창작 과정을 소개하는 특강을 진행했으며, 장애인 취업지원 시스템과 직업교육의 새로운 방향에 대해 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.
이어서 참가자들은 아누타 쇼케이스의 미디어아트 전시관을 둘러보며, 장애학생들이 AI아트를 활용해 창작활동을 하는 모습을 직접 살펴보았으며, 아누타에 채용된 장애인 예술작가와 비장애인 작가가 협업한 예술작품과 굿즈 등을 감상하며, AI 기술이 적용된 창작활동의 가능성을 탐색했다.
마지막 3부에서는 중·고등학교 특수학급과 특수학교 교사들이 분과별 협의를 진행하며, 장애학생 진로·직업교육 운영 사례를 공유하고 발전 방안을 논의했다.
대전특수교육원 권순오 원장은 “현장 중심의 지원을 통해 특수교사들의 진로·직업교육 역량을 강화하겠다”며 “장애학생들이 안정적인 미래를 설계할 수 있도록 지속적인 양질의 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 이번 협의회를 통해 장애학생을 위한 진로·직업교육의 발전 방향성을 모색하고, AI 기술을 접목한 새로운 교육 방안을 탐색하는 계기가 마련되었다. 앞으로도 보다 체계적이고 실질적인 지원이 대전특수교육 현장에서 이뤄질 것으로 기대된다.
