한덕수 대통령 권한대행 국무총리가 4일 윤석열 대통령 탄핵심판 결과 관련해 "정부는 국민 삶·경제가 흔들리지 않도록 정부 역할을 충실히 수행하는데 혼신의 힘을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
한 권한대행은 이날 오전 서울 종로구 정부서울청사에서 가진 대국민담화에서 "오늘 헌법재판소가 대통령 탄핵심판 결과를 확정했다"며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "헌정사상 두 번째 현직 국가원수 탄핵이란 불행한 상황이 발생한 것을 무겁게 생각한다"며 "대통령 권한대행으로서 국가 안보·외교에 공백없도록 굳건한 안보태세를 유지하겠다"고 밝혔다.
또 "통상전쟁 등 당면한 현안에 대한 대처에 일체 차질없도록 만전을 기하고 국민이 불안해하시는 일이 없도록 치안 질서를 확립하고 각종 재난에도 철저히 대비하겠다"며 "주권자인 국민 여러분들 뜻을 받들어 헌법·법률에 따라 다음 정부가 차질없이 출범할 수 있도록 차기 대통령 선거관리에 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

더불어 "대한민국이 현재 위기를 극복하고 우리 국민 한 분 한 분 일상에 아무 흔들림없도록 하는데 매진해 달라"며 "정치권·국회도 대한민국 미래를 위해 차이를 접어두고 힘·지혜를 모아줄 것을 간곡히 부탁한다"고 강조했다.
한 대행은 이날 중앙재난안전상황실 서울상황센터를 방문해 "주요 헌법기관·정부 시설·도심 인파밀집 지역 집회·시위 등으로 인명피해가 발생하는 일이 없도록 국민안전을 최우선에 두고 질서 유지에 만전을 기해달라"고 행정안전부에 지시했다.
이어 "집회·시위 과정서 발생할 수 있는 모든 불법행위에 무관용 원칙으로 엄정하게 대응해 예기치 못한 폭력사태 등을 사전 차단하라"고 경찰청에 지시했다.
