브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표는 4일 헌법재판소가 윤석열 대통령의 탄핵을 인용한 것과 관련 "이제부터 진짜 대한민국이 시작된다. 더 이상 헌정파괴 비극이 반복되지 않도록 정치가 국민과 국가의 희망이 되도록 최선을 다 할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
이재명 대표는 이날 헌재 선고 직후 국회에서 가진 긴급 기자회견에서 "헌법을 파괴하며 국민이 맡긴 권력과 총칼로 국민과 민주주의를 위협한 윤석열 전 대통령에 대한 파면이 선고됐다"며 이같이 말했다.
이 대표는 "위대한 국민들이 위대한 민주공화국 대한민국을 되찾아주셨다"라며 "계엄군 총칼에 스러져 간 제주 4·3, 광주 5·18 영령들이, 총칼과 횡포 앞에 맞선 국민들이, 부당한 명령에 맞선 장병 용기가 이 빛의 혁명을 이끌었다"라고 말했다.
이어 "현직 대통령이 두 번째로 탄핵된 것은 다신 없어야 할 대한민국 헌정사의 비극"이라며 "저 자신을 포함한 정치권 모두가 깊이 성찰하고 책임을 통감해야 될 일"이라고 강조했다.
이 대표는 "세계 역사상 비무장 국민의 힘으로 평화롭게 무도한 권력을 제압한 예는 대한민국이 유일하다"라며 "촛불혁명에 이은 빛의혁명으로 대한민국은 이 땅의 민주주의를 극적으로 부활시켰다"라고 덧붙였다.
그는 또한 "세계는 대한민국을 재평가할 것이고 K-민주주의의 힘을 선망하게 될 것"이라며 "우리가 힘을 모으면 국제사회 신뢰를 신속하게 회복하고 오히려 위기를 기회로 만들 수 있다"라고 말했다.
